Counselor Top 40 supplier SnugZ USA (asi/88060) is getting noticed for its sustainability initiatives, with the West Jordan, UT-headquartered company recently receiving a 2024 Green Business Award from Utah Business magazine.

The magazine, which partnered with Rocky Mountain Power for the awards, recognized Utah companies and individuals working to make the state “a greener place,” whether through setting clean energy goals or launching innovative recycling programs. “This year’s honorees exemplify the power of business to drive positive change for our planet,” according to Utah Business.

The magazine noted that SnugZ has “set the groundwork for continuous improvement in environmental sustainability, social responsibility and corporate culture” in the last year.

SnugZ released its first environmental, social and governance report earlier this year. Known as Elevated Together, the report shared 2023 highlights that included recycling more than 2,100 pounds of e-waste and 18 tons of cardboard, as well as donating over 25,000 items to local schools and charities. The supplier has switched to recycled cardboard for all shipping boxes and said it plans to add nearly 30 new sustainable and eco-conscious products next year.

“The whole company has made major strides in making this a priority and is driven by a passion to be better as an organization and also serve our customers who are asking for it,” said Rosanne Webster, chief compliance officer at SnugZ. “We acknowledge we still have a ways to go but are dedicated to enhancing our practices and cultivating a more sustainable future for generations to come.”
